Pelvic Congestion Syndrome- needed diagnose for many women?


PCS is a condition that occurs as a result of dilated pelvic vessels.

Symptoms:

  • Intermittent or constant pain in the pelvic or abdominal region

  • Low back pain and aches in the legs

  • Typically associated with, but not exclusive to, women who have undergone childbirth(s)

A comprehensive discussion before the examination and exercises is crucial.

Techniques in physiotherapy: 


  • Diaphragm mobilisation, breathing techniques

  •  Pelvic muscles exercises

  • Education about proper lifting 

  • TENS- electrostimulation

  • Relaxation techiques
